  1. Last night was August 1st and Jerry Garcia’s birthday. Gov’t Mule paid tribute to Jerry by playing Sugaree during their set and Morning Dew as the encore.

Once again Gov’t Mule shows why they are the preeminent jam band. It was my fifth time seeing the Mule, my wife’s first concert with the Mule. My brother-in-law was there (my fellow Mule head) and his wife joined us as well.

Warren Haynes also acknowledged Charles Ives for being the father of multi-dissonant composition with a very cool Mule blend known as the Charles Ives Experiment, The blend consisted of Ray Charles’ ‘Georgia On My Mind’ & Burl Ives’ ‘Wayfaring Stranger’.

Gov’t Mule never disappoints. Loved seeing Danny Louis on guitar. Like Flies rocked.

  2. Just got and listened to Gov’t Mule Deep End Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. What great star studded recordings these are, great additions to the Mule library.

Next up is Holy Haunted House (just ordered online) and the Mule Tracks from the Danbury show this comment is listed against.
