Experience Hendrix Tribute Tour – March 25th

The Experience Hendrix Tribute was a three hour concert with lots of great guitarists expressing Jimi Hendrix

Favorite memory of the evening was meeting Billy Cox,  at the merchandise table. I got to shake his hand, he autographed his CD, The Last Gypsy Standing and a rare color picture of him and Jimi Hendrix for me. :)  Bless you Billy Cox. His wife was  a joy to meet too!

Billy Cox’s thoughts about the Experience Hendrix 2010 Tour:

The concert event of the year, with no lip synching and no soundtracks!  Everyone of the musicians featured was inspired by Jimi Hendrix from Eric Johnson to Kenny Wayne Sheppard, Johnny Lang,  Joe Satriani, Ernie Isley (nobody can do more things with a guitar!), Brad Whitford, Chris Layton from Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Double Trouble, Living Color are back together, Robert Randolph – he plays JIMI on steel guitar!, and all the others. These musicians have a purpose – to embody the true spirit of Jimi Hendrix.

Joe Satriani, Corey Glover, Vernon Reid and Doug Wimbish (Living Colour) rocking out Jimi Hendrix’s Foxey Lady during last night’s concert at The Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, N.J.

Jimmy Webb – Infinity Music Hall – June 26, 2010

For the longest time, we have been fans of the songwriting genius of Jimmy Webb. Such timeless classics as By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Wichita Lineman (sung by Glenn Campbell), MacArthur Park and Didn’t We (recorded and sung by Richard Harris) have been rich tapestries in our lives.

When I saw that Infinity Music Hall had booked Jimmy Webb to appear, it was just too good to pass up.
