2010 Tribute Tour, Experience Hendrix – March 25, 2010, Count Basie Theatre

I regretted not attending any of the first three Hendrix Experience Tribute Tours, especially when the tour stopped close by in 2008 in Waterbury, CT. When Mitch Mitchell passed away in 2008, I vowed to see the next Experience Hendrix Tribute Tour. I have now met that vow. We are ticketed to see the 2010 Tribute Tour, Experience Hendrix on March 25th, 2010 at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey.

The assemblage of guitarists and musicians is phenomenal. Check it out for yourself, http://www.experiencehendrixtour.com/index.php

Gary Wright, April 16, 2010, Infinity Music Hall

Spooky Tooth, Gawd did I love that group (Surf over to Luki’s Web site that is dedicated to Spooky Tooth information, great job Luki!!), then his later solo work that produced the smash hit, Dream Weaver. Very eager to see him perform in concert as I have been such a long time fan and admirer of his sound.

Visit Gary’s beautifully illustrated Web site to learn the story behind Dream Weaver and to get a deeper perspective about this influential musician.

Jeff Beck & Eric Clapton – Together & Apart – Feb. 18, 2009, Madison Square Garden

On the heels of a stunning collaboration in Tokyo, Japan last February and after the announcement of two sold-out shows at the 02 Arena in London in February 2010, Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck will share the stage at Madison Square Garden on February 18 & 19.

U.S. audiences recently saw Jeff Beck’s guitar mastery at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 25th Anniversary concert at Madison Square Garden. Beck’s 40-minute set with guests such as Sting, Buddy Guy and Billy Gibbons along with a blistering rendition of “Superstition” in Stevie Wonder’s set received strong critical acclaim.

The Beck-Clapton collaboration will undoubtedly be one of the must-see shows of this   decade, where the artists will perform together and apart. Both former members of the Yardbirds, the duo have shared the stage at Festivals and benefits previously, but the Japan shows at the Saitama Super Arena marked the first time they had shared the bill at a major arena.

Thanking my lovely wife Rosemary for getting us these tickets on Ticketmaster! Its gonna be awesome babe ;) I’m glad we got these tickets as we really enjoyed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25th Anniversary Concert on October 30th where we saw Jeff Beck and his great band play with Sting, Buddy Guy and Billy Gibbons. I hope Jeff Beck will be playing some of the new songs he is recording in the studio right now that night!

John Mayall – Sunday February 14, 2009 – Infinity Music Hall

John Mayall continues to perform blues music that entices the listener to explore the edges of  the blues with him. Looking forward to seeing John Mayall’s latest band in 2010.

My favorite recording of the 57 recordings he has released!  is The Turning Point. Give it a spin sometime.

John Mayall still continues to remain true to the timeless music, for over the past decades he has done a great deal to popularize the blues all over the globe.
